If you’re a parent or a parent to be, you’ve probably heard a thing or two about baby expos! You may have visited one, or you may be like most and wondering what all the hype is about when you can purchase things at the touch of your fingertips from the comfort of your own home or simply drop into a nearby a store. Well the good news is, I’m here to explain the hype and tell you exactly why a baby expo might just be the most worthwhile visit you make all year (or if you get as hooked as I did, the ten or twenty most worthwhile visits).
Not only do some amazing brands and creators visit expos - like me (come see me at Sydney PBC expo from Friday the 17th to Sunday the 19th of May!) but these attendants actually offer expo exclusive deals that you will most likely never see in store. A personal experience I have had with this particular aspect of an expo goes back to when my Husband and I had decided on a pram we wanted – having already done our research we knew the price point of it, and upon visiting the expo we saved a whopping $400 thanks to an expo introductory price! Talk about bargain. There are so many ‘can’t pass up’ prices at an expo, even on popular brands you already know and love. A lot of the items are things you would have needed anyway, so why not drop in and get it at a great price?
You can also find new releases at expos and grab them before they go out to the public – talk about trend setting bubs! I’d definitely recommend bringing along a snack and a drink to any expo you attend, since there’s so much on offer and the time just flies while you’re browsing all of the stands and gushing the cute products. For our first visit to an expo I was actually still pregnant with Finn, so we split our visit and went for a few hours over both of the days to make it a bit more manageable – believe it or not, I still think there’s things I missed!
